This guide is designed to help you figure out your career path and find a great job. The Library provides access to a number of useful materials. You can use the chat box on this page if you have questions, or contact us at (312) 427-2737 x729.
The JMLS Career Services Office works with students, alumni, and employers. They provide help with resumes, cover letter, finding available jobs, and much more.
The Library has a collection of career-related books. These cover many aspects of legal employment, from being happy at work to writing a cover letter. They are located on the 6th floor and can be checked out.
Need more help? Reference librarians are available to meet with students in one-on-one sessions (or in small groups) to discuss research strategies, recommend relevant resources or review specific topics of legal research.
Contact law-library@uic.edu with the subject you're researching and when you would like to meet. A librarian will get back to you to set up an appointment. We ask that you request your appointment at least 2 days in advance, but remember that you can always stop by the reference desk for immediate help with a quick research question.
